This timely topic will be presented during the ACRM Annual Conference on 23 October by Dawn Ehde, PhD from the University of Washington and Anna Kratz, PhD from the University of Michigan. Recent clinical trials have shown that telehealth can improve access to and outcomes of interventions targeting a wide range of conditions common in rehabilitation populations, including chronic pain. Drs. Ehde and Kratz will summarize the evidence for telehealth in rehabilitation, with a focus on its use in pain and symptom management in chronic neurologic conditions such as multiple sclerosis and traumatic brain injury. Participants will also learn practical considerations for integrating telehealth into rehabilitation, strategies for addressing common barriers to its use, and future opportunities for telehealth science and practice.
