USDA modernizes 30+ year-old genetic engineering rule Food Safety Magazine U.S. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue has announced a final rule that updates and modernizes the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s biotechnology regulations under the Plant Protection Act.
