Accidental death of sheriff's deputy leaves Idaho community in mourning KUTV-TV A sheriff's deputy was killed after accidentally being hit by a cruiser driven by another deputy in Idaho on recently. Deputy Wyatt Maser had responded to assist another deputy with an incident on Bone Road in Bonneville County. While attempting to take a woman wielding a machete into custody, Sgt. Randy Flegel, who was also responding to the incident to provide assistance, came upon the two deputies and the woman in the roadway and struck Maser with his vehicle. READ MORE
