Health Canada says China’s customs are responsible for holding up the shipment of one of the world’s leading vaccine candidates against COVID-19, which the Chinese company that created it agreed to begin testing in humans in Canada almost two months ago. Innovation, Science and Industry Minister Navdeep Bains is responsible for the agency that struck an agreement with the Chinese vaccine producer. His office would not directly answer questions about if the vaccine’s stalled exit from China was linked in any ways to hostilities between the two countries.
