A new study has found evidence supporting a link between "COVID toes" — bluish-red or purple lesions that can appear on the feet and hands of children and young adults — and the novel coronavirus. The study, published Wednesday in the British Journal of Dermatology, reported that the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19 was present in skin biopsies in children with symptoms of "COVID toes," despite negative results from traditional testing methods.
