Influx of New Yorkers buying homes in Northampton County to get away from crowds, Realtors say Lehigh Valley Live As real estate reopens after its monthslong coronavirus shutdown, Northampton County is seeing a flood of home buyers from urban areas like New York City, according to industry insiders. Normally, 5% to 10% of Weichert buyers in the Lehigh Valley come from metro markets, including New York City, Long Island and Hudson County.
