As it ended the current legislative session, the Ontario government celebrated the passage of 18 bills, including controversial legislation critics say could give the government sweeping emergency powers, undermine access to justice and hurt those hit hardest by the pandemic. MPPs are slated to start the next session on Sept. 14.
