NASBLA Awarded USCG Nonprofit Grants National Association of State Boating Law Administrators NASBLA works annually to construct grant proposals for programs and projects that assists the state recreational boating safety (RBS) programs and support their efforts through research, innovation and standards development. For Fiscal Year 2020, NASBLA was awarded funding for 10 nonprofit grants issued by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, United States Coast Guard, Office of Auxiliary & Boating Safety, Boating Safety Division. Each of these projects is intended to support RBS programs in a coordinated effort to make our nation’s waterways safer. While several grants were awarded for continuing programs, others were granted this year as new, innovative projects intended to better support recreational boating safety professionals across the country.
