Judicial Council Chief Justice seeks to lift eviction ban SCRHA The court rules effectively banning all evictions throughout the state may be lifted as soon as August 14 according to Chief Justice Tani Cantil-Sakauye who is seeking a vote of the Judicial Council very soon. SCRHA is hopeful this comes to fruition as many rental properties and their residents are suffering as a result of these rules, which allow problematic, and sometimes dangerous, tenants to remain in their rentals.
