Military training exercise begins Saturday in Colchester County The Chronicle Herald Residents of the Truro area should not be alarmed if they see an influx of military vehicles in the coming days. Soldiers with the Canadian Armed Forces will conduct training in the McCallum Settlement area, north of Truro, for six days beginning Saturday, Aug. 15. The public is advised there will be increased military activity, noise and personnel in the surrounding areas during the exercise. Weapons, blank ammunition and pyrotechnics will be used. READ MORE
