Butler County officials weigh decisions Journal-News Butler County officials have been faced in recent weeks with decisions about whether to resume utility disconnections for those with delinquent payments, given financial hardships many are facing because of the coronavirus pandemic. Monroe this week reinstated its suspension of disconnections. The suspensions went into effect in March after Ohio issued stay at home and other health directives due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
