This symposium at the ACRM VIRTUAL Conference will summarize basic research findings regarding these therapeutic tools, which may facilitate translational applications in the field of SCI. Advancements in rehabilitation technologies address a wide array of sensory, motor and autonomic rehabilitation after SCI. Knowledge about these technological advancements is key to prescribe an effective plan of care for persons with SCI. Robotic exoskeletons, epidural stimulation, transspinal stimulation, and virtual reality have emerged as successful rehabilitation tools that can promote improvement in motor functions, locomotion, and pain control following SCI.
