Families await rental assistance from City of San Diego KFMB-TV During the pandemic, many are struggling. Friday, Aug. 7, was the deadline to apply for the City of San Diego's Rental Assistance Program, and now families are anxiously waiting to see if they will be approved. Paying rent has been a major issue for many community members in the South Bay and throughout San Diego County.
