Phil Taylor, president of the New Zealand Forest Owners Association, says the forestry industry is currently in a "pretty good" place in the wake of COVID-19. "We've had a pretty strong bounce back since the level-4 shutdown," Taylor told Rural Exchange. He said the sector suffered both before and during the lockdown due to supply chain complications overseas and not being classified as an essential service at level 4. However, in recent months "it's been pretty positive," he said.
