Daniella Pereira writes, "Trees need care and management just as our streets and buildings do. With the urgent challenges Chicago faces with severe storms, air pollution, flooding and excessive heat, a robust urban forest is one of our strongest strategies to curb the effects of climate change, and the most accessible way we can create connections to nature and the outdoors.
