Lint build up starts dryer fire in Idaho KBOI-TV Lint built up in a dryer exhaust pipe started a fire recently in Caldwell, according to the Caldwell Fire Department battalion chief. CFD said a woman just moved into the house and it was her first time doing laundry in the new place. She started the dryer and left for a while. The exhaust pipe on the dryer was full of lint.
