The largely immigrant and densely populated neighborhoods of Queens, New York, served by a large public hospital, Elmhurst Hospital Center (NYC H+H/Elmhurst), have emerged as one of the hardest-hit areas in the country. Newborns are at high risk of acquiring severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) from their infected mothers who delivered during this period; however, data remains limited.
