Disney parks division cuts 28,000 jobs Travel Weekly Disney will reduce its domestic workforce in its Parks, Experiences and Products segment by around 28,000 employees, division chairman Josh D'Amaro said in a statement Tuesday afternoon. The move comes as a result of the impact of COVID-19 on Disney's businesses, "exacerbated in California by the state's unwillingness to lift restrictions that would allow Disneyland to reopen," D'Amaro said.
