Alberta moves to streamline emission reduction agencies Journal of Commerce The Alberta government’s proposed Bill 22 will, if passed, shift emission reduction programs from two emission reduction agencies into one entity. The remaining programs and services run by Energy Efficiency Alberta will transition to the Emissions Reduction Alberta program. The shift “will focus the province’s funding on one agency and make it clearer for applicants and their service providers to access emissions-reduction programs,” an Alberta government release stated.
