City staff being recalled to staff municipal golf courses TB News Watch City manager Norm Gale says the return of golf will mean the return of some of the 800 or so city workers laid off because of the COVID-19 shutdown. But he’s not sure how many or how soon the rest of those waiting out the pandemic while off the job will follow. Gale on Friday said they first need to recall staff to work at the golf course, and then provide training and education to the staff about how the two city-run courses, which are scheduled to open for the season this Friday.
