What is a Virtual Conference?
NOBCChE is going Virtual on Sept. 24-25. The NOBCChE 2020 Virtual Conference will consist of a combination of webinars, on demand video presentations, pdf posters, live video Q&A, and live video networking events through platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, etc.
Access to all sessions will be limited to those who have registered for the conference by way of a login and password that each registrant will receive before the start of the conference. Once you are logged in, you will be able to view the conference web pages and click on links to start the sessions or enter the networking areas of your choice.
WEBINARS will be accessible from the Agenda page at, or just before, the appointed time. Simulive (simulated live) sessions that have a time associated with them will run like a live session followed by Q&A. With chat capabilities, attendees will be able to type questions in the chat feed. Select questions will be answered in the Live Q&A portions of sessions, while others may be answered directly through the chat. Some webinars will be made available after the initial run to be viewed on demand.
ON DEMAND sessions are non-interactive sessions that will be found on the Agenda, Poster, and Awards pages of the Conference Website. These may be viewed at any time. To get the most out of your registration, we encourage you to view them at times other than while the live sessions are running.
A variety of NETWORKING sessions will be available (only accessible at the appointed times) and allows attendees to talk “face to face†with colleagues, as well as sponsors and exhibitors. Links will be provided on the Networking page of the Conference Website during our scheduled networking times and on each Virtual Exhibit Booth during the Career and Academic Fair.
NOBCChE 2020 is bringing you all of this and MORE!
