Ruslan Desyatnikov writes: When a crisis such as COVID-19 strikes, many leaders might assume that they should demonstrate to their stakeholders that everything is under control. They become overly concerned with crafting the optimal response that frames the public's perception in a certain way. I believe they should instead curb the impulse to spin events in their perceived favor, and rather accept the new rules of engagement.
