After several attempts over the last two decades to revise Connecticut's spill regulations, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) has started a process to update them once again. Last week, DEEP held a web meeting on some of the changes they would like to make and outlined a process to allow stakeholders to provide comments. On the surface, it seems that DEEP has proposed many improvements over their previous attempt to make changes in 2009, CEMA is working with our members to formulate an association position on what has been proposed and any additional changes we would like to be made.
