The COVID woes continue as Air Canada has reported an operating loss of $1.555 billion in the second quarter of 2020 compared to operating income of $422 million in the second quarter of 2019. Total revenues fell from $4.738 billion in the second quarter of 2019 to $527 million in the second quarter this year, a decline of $4.211 billion or 89 per cent. Calin Rovinescu, President and CEO said "they’ve raised $5.5 billion in new equity, debt and aircraft financing which gives them over $9 billion in liquidity to help whether the crisis.
