Supplementation with vitamin D or omega-3 fatty acids appears to have no long-term effect on Osteoarthritis, specifically the function or stiffness associated with chronic knee pain. A Harvard University team finds compared to placebo, neither vitamin D or omega-3 fatty acids were linked to improvement in knee symptoms in older adults with chronic, daily knee pain and self-reported knee OA.
