In a letter to Governor Lamont, CEMA President Chris Herb asked that an executive order be issued to stop efforts to electrify the heating and transportation sectors in light of the 900,000 homes and businesses that were left without power after tropical storm Isaias. Connecticut is quickly shifting energy policy from natural gas expansion to electrification, and with the recent power outages and slow restoration efforts it was an opportune time to highlight the weakness of an all-electric economy.
